- Melba Ann Jensen, 77, of Cariere, MS, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 12, 2018, in New Orleans, LA. Melba was born August 17, 1940, in Pascagoula, MS to the late Walter and Audrey Jones. She was a longtime member of Kreole United Methodist Church, her 'HOME' church. She loved teaching people about the Lord and was active in prison ministries for many years. She loved her family, friends, and her animals. They were all very special to her. She was a long time educator. Melba is going to be best remembered for her unselfishness towards others and always putting them before herself.
In addition to her parents, Melba was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Jensen, and daughter, Loreen Jensen Bays.
She is survived by her children, Scott Jensen and Suzanne Jensen; grandchildren, Nikolas, William, and Kristen Jensen; brothers, W.L. (Nancy) Jones and Mike (Jennie) Jones; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
The visitation will be held Saturday, April 21, 2018, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Escatawpa. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. with Bro. Coy Rice officiating. Interment will follow at Griffin Cemetery in Moss Point, MS.
