- On August 29th, 2014, Joan lost her battle with cancer at the Hinton Hospital.
Joan was comforted and surrounded by family and passed peacefully.
Joan was known for her Vitality, Loving and Compassionate nature, Passion for Dance, baseball and Refusal to be evacuated in the Great Swan Hills fire of 1981, where she held her ground at the motel serving Firefighters.
Our Dancing Queen will be sadly missed by Many Blessed to Have Known her. Joan is survived by her Life-mate Don Adam and her children: Jordan Iampen, Jordine North (Rod), Dallas Iampen (Adrianane Daniel) and six Grandchildren and four Great Grandchildren. Also survived her Siblings Twin sister Jean Dircks, Molly (Joe) Desrochiers and Bernice (John) Warchola.
Joan was is predeceased by her Parents Ellef and Helen (Nellie) Stene as well as her siblings Ruth Carl, Richard Stene (Buddy) John Stene, Helen Patterson, Karole Devins (Adam) and a Granddaughter Patricia Grey Iampen.
Joan was Blessed to have extended families, which included Trina Saby, Sheryl Adam, Angel Devins Brenda Webb, Daylene (Roger) Ernst, Crystal (Ken) Busch, Which includes another 8 Grandchildren 4 Great Grandchildren and 1 on the way.
Special mention to three very special nieces, Valerie Seabrook, Crystal Busch and Chrissie Dircks.
