- Duane Hendrickson, age 68, of Menomonie, WI, peacefully passed away on Monday March 30th, 2015, after his battle with cancer.
He was born Feb. 9th, 1947, at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire to Harvey and Mildred (Berg) Hendrickson. He grew up in Sand Creek, WI, graduating from Chetek High School in 1965. He went on to obtain a degree in Psychology from UW-Eau Claire.
Duane married Mary Larson on June 10th, 2000, at Peace Lutheran Church, where they were active members. Duane was a very involved member of the church community and found great joy singing in the adult choir. Duane most cherished his wife Mary, his daughter Kris, his two grandchildren, the Packers, Badgers and the Brewers (but not necessarily always in that order!).
He is survived by his wife Mary (Larson) Hendrickson, daughter Kris (Steve) Wiggins, grandchildren Carter and Cassidy Erickson, two sister-in laws (Joyce York, Julie Eiseth) and one brother-in-law (Mark Larson), and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother James, sister Lynda, and brother-in- law Rod.
A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Peace Lutheran Church in Menomonie, with Pastor Kristine Stedje officiating. There will be visitation at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Church Cemetery at a later date. Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie is serving the family.
